I am checking it regularly now, and I think more people are slowly migrating over.

I'm still checking here too. And my submissions and journals always go here first. Every little bit helps I guess.

We're seeing ~4000 active users per day at the moment, it's dropped back a bit but still compares favourably to other art sites.
The best suggestion I can give you is to hit the Browse button and look for people who are uploading - here are a few from my watch list you may find interesting:

qzurr
airguitar
kacey is also worth a look, but doesn't post often (but when she does, it's always worth looking at).

I think it will with enough time.
I'm also trying to nudge folks to implement features like Bulk Uploads and email notifications. The latter is especially important for maintaining mindshare of a website.
