VERY IMPORTANT INFO: DeviantARt made in OPT IN DEFAULT for ai to use YOUR ARTWORK. And the worse part is is that this is per individual artwork, so in order to opt out, you need to go to EACH PIECE individually to opt out. SO yeah, That's where DA is at right now. Have fun with this info.

      FurAffinity, Weasyl (here), Newgrounds are the top three artsites left if you are looking for community based artsites.

      If you are looking just to post content with few comment, Pixiv (tiny language barrier, Japanese tags work better there than english)

      If you are looking to work in the professional field and make a portfolio to be hired by a company, Artstation (Just be warned that sexy looking = 18+ over there)

      New Artsite that seems stable that I know of is Itaku

      Furry Specific art Sites with low activity are sofurry and Inkbunny

      I heard something about a site called Inkblot recently i think, but i know nothing about it. I dont have a link for it since i never visited it before. Just saw someone's journal a week ago.

      Pillowfort exists. It's kind of set up like a tumblr feed style site.

    Does that apply retroactively and allow all your art to be scooped up by AI even though it was created long before the AI? cos that is fucked if it applies retro meaning every artist on there would have to manually go to each work and turn it off and depending on the age of their account that could be hundreds to thousands of artworks.

      Yes. All artworks were set to allow ai to scrape them. DA tried to do damage control and even did a livestream, but it was the grossest thing I ever watched. The words out of their mouths was "your art is going to get stolen anyways." And "ai is the future, you all just don't understand" and then proceeded to showcase their own ai generator. And also "we wanted to give you the choice to tell ai you don't want your art used" while frikken opting everyone's art in. 6eah, great. Bullshit. Choice my ass.

      PS, they added a button to opt out all late last night, but that doesn't solve the problem of deseasced artists who can't opt out.

        That's insane! Given how hot the debate is with AI and plenty of proof that people not only will try and steal your art and use an AI to remix it but will also then go on to use it for personal gain, they should have made the option to opt out the default and the button should be optional to turn on.
