Wishful Thinking for Settings by Myan

It'd be cool there was a way to customize profile pages to one's liking. After a while, a near never-changing layout look that you're made to work with that's supposed to be your own space gets old/tiring to look at after a while.

Another thing is that it'd be nice to disable the Friend Request thing since it's essentially useless to me (explained in journal made about it here) and mostly considering those that send me them apparently haven't read the notice on my profile lmao

I guess I should pose a question or more here. I'm just curious, since I don't mean to come off like I'm fully bothered or anything.
Do you use the Friend System? How useful is it to you? and How do you feel about it?

I have friends in the friends system. It's not terribly useful, since I don't ever post personal stuff. Or if I do, it's not on here.

I think it can be useful to certain people but, overall, it's not something most people will need.

Yeah, it's how I sort of generally feel for those that have friends in the friend system here. Certain people who probably either use this site for most communication with most followers/mutuals not in their private contacts to show personal stuff, the Friend System definitely sounds useful for those areas.

Also just saw this on the forums, which has a few good points.

Oh true, those are pretty much the same positive points I would make about the system. I don't use it here, since the people I talk to often & even show certain stuff to, I already do so in private (plus they don't use Weasyl enough or don't have accounts here).
Not everyone wants to publicly show just anything they've made after all and since I'm rather a private person, I mainly feel the need to show stuff to close people and those allowed in separate confidential spaces.

Yeah, I feel ya there. I think that if someone has established a "private" account on here that is limited to only friends, they could also use that as a place just to get all of their opinions or what not without having to share to multiple locations/people, too. Depending on how many people you consider close enough for that kind of stuff

Yep, pretty much. I guess it'd be up to the person on whether or not they risk letting almost anyone in system's 'circle' or just getting to know others first before doing it.

Yeah, the definition of friend varies from person to person
