Amazing detail, proportions are spot-on and the fur looks realistic. Awesome job! :)

Thank you very much! It was a lot of fun to work on this, I really enjoy painting. (x

I'm glad too! There's something stunning about your style that I really enjoy seeing.

Nice to see that you're still around! And I'm also happy I haven't lost my ability to make compelling paintings either. (:

The details on the face and especially the eyes is quite impressive

Yeah, I started putting more attention to the anatomy of facial muscles and tried to work out how the skin wrinkles and such. Understanding how things work helps a lot with painting them. :D

Have you done a study on just the muscles under the skin and how they work together? You could look into that to get a better idea of how to shape anatomy of any body area. I need to do the same thing myself haha.

I mostly just did photo studies and reading anatomy books. The most difficult part of studies in my opinion is finding the resources. (x
I would love to watch a dissection of a striped hyena some time. (:

That's a good idea, didn't even think about seeking out books LOL. Hope you make some more art like this, it's beautiful.

I will try my best! Painting is just what I like to do. (:

no matter how long the gaps between it doesn't invalidate you as an artist :D

Yeah, we can always stop painting. But there's only one time an artist can quit. As long as we don't quit, nothing is over. :D
