*The storm messed with his sight. He was sure it was just the shadows and swirling sand, and the lion himself was still all on his own.

Khadim stood tall his fur and mane tangling in the wind but the rest of his body was motionless.

Squinting his eyes tight he surveyed the area a final time around a slim water source within Sizani Territory he had chosen to make camp at. Though told it was rather unorthodox to setup camp alone Khadim felt he had something to prove. Not born to the pride he still felt somewhat unsure of his own standing with in his new home.

He just hoped he could defend the water and that his kindness wouldn't betray him should a stranger to the pride approach.*
