Dear SEGA, I hear that legal troubles regarding Sonic 3's original soundtrack might be part of what's holding you back from a re-release of Sonic 3 ( www.sonic3remastered.com/ More info here)
I suggest an alternative solution to trying to get the rights to use the songs that are currently providing a roadblock in greenlighting the project.Signed sincerely,
A lifelong fan
NOTE: I did not adhere to the polyphony limits of the sound chip.
[Carnival Night Zone - Act 1]
You know, I really like the direction you took with this. You got that feeling of the original going, but I would say that it feels a little too muted. Like, it could get lost at some point under the sound effects that you're liable to come across while you're going through the level. Although, this is another great alternative idea. I would love to take these tracks and add them to a rom hack or mod or something to really test the feel of these.
Out of all the songs, this one right here, and LBZ 2 were the hardest. I think this one was way harder though. I don't know if it was because it was the first, or because I was afraid of screwing up, and delivering something less listenable than the original.
In the end though, I actually don't really like this song here. >_>; It feels weak to me. :S
I think if I were to redo these, I would have the act 2 version be act 1, and make a new remix for act 2.
