This is the theme for General Charlemagne Arylon of the Holy Army. Despite such a manly name, Charlemagne is indeed female. Her real age isn't known (it's rude to ask a lady her age) but she has been in service of the Holy Army for around twenty years. She's exceptionally tall, although that might be because of her hyena-kin blood. She is a skilled marksman and also talented with a broadsword. Her husband, Aliester Gray is her direct subordinate, and beneath him, are seven lieutenant generals. Together, these lot head up the Holy Army's forces in Celestion during the first season of the story.
Charlemange's story is a lot deeper than it at first appears. She seems like a nice middle aged lady with glasses and an abhorrence for unnecessary violence, but even during the war, it becomes obvious that there are a lot more elements at play here.
