This is the theme for battles against Lamenth, the Mad Goddess during the earlier encounters with her. Her particular storyline goes to some pretty dark places. Although she and her faction The cult of the Mad Goddess enter the story in earnest rather late, they've been important all along, especially Lamenth, herself.

This song was an -enormous- pain in the neck. From trying to nail down a style, to actually making it exciting and rapid enough to listen to, this must have taken around a month off-and-on while working on other projects for other people. I wasn't satisfied with it until recently. @~@ Anyway, after all that work, I felt it was pretty decently enjoyably listenable. As with many other tunes in the project, it references -other- tunes in the project.
