My fellow musician on Elancia Chronicles, pointed out to me that the two versions of Verse's theme on the project are very specific to certain situations. Seeing as one is sad and regretful, and the other one is heroic and action-packed, she suggested we try something that speaks more about Verse as a person.

An incredibly talented musician, hailing from a broken home of divorce and abandonment, followed by several years of military training and servitude, Verse has finally broken free. The chain-smoking fox has struck out into the world! Of course, this means falling in with pirates, and stealing things for money, because really, who doesn't like money? Money never abandons you after it tells you it loves you.

I went for a very eclectic and bombastic sort of feeling here, because Verse is an incredibly complicated character. Outwardly, Verse can seem cold, harsh, brash, and apathetic to most strangers. Inside, however, lays a small, damaged, sweet, awkward little fox that really just wants to know what love feels like, and is just broken enough to kill for it.

I included elements of Verse's culture, along with a sort of bouncy and cute feeling to signify just how much of a screwup Verse is, and how comedy prone our little fox tends to be, too. (A veritable lifetime of 'why me??' moments.) There is also metric tonnes of guitar, because Verse is a guitarist. Parts are sad, parts are noble, and parts are cute, parts are even a little flirty. (Wait, what!?)

Verse is a martial artist, but relies on a revolver for long range fighting. On top of this, Verse is also the party's main healer for much of the game.
