This was a commission from someone who wanted a pair of lilac-breasted roller wings, which are an unbelievably vibrant species of bird! She also wanted the dangling tail to be two of the outer streamer tail feathers.

This is hand-carved from 7-oz. leather with a top covert layer of 2-oz., and hand-painted with acrylics. The chain is sterling silver.
