As you might know from my playmat designs, I'm a fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. I'm also a fan of the anime, to the point of having a couple of OCs made for it. My personal favorite, Yuri Asakura, is a Ritual Deck user and an avid cosplayer.

I originally made her and her friends during the GX era of the anime, but with the advent of the Arc-V anime I decided to give them a reboot. With it, they went from being Duel Academia students to students of a Maiami City Dueling School, the Dark Arts School, where students bucked the trend of Fusion/Synchro/Xyz Monsters and instead focused on Ritual Summoning in their Duels. Their school's most distinguishing characteristic is its custom-style Duel Disk, made in the design of a ceremonial dagger with the tray taking the shape of a demon's wing.

Yuri's skills as a cosplayer found a new niche with the "Solid Vision with Mass" system of Action Duels, which turned the otherwise static game into a highly athletic one where the field, monsters, and specialized "Action Cards" became solid on the field. Utilizing it, she developed a Duel Disk app that projected a SVwM outfit over her own attire. It even allowed her to take on the form of any monster whose clothing was programmed into the app's memory, enabling her to personally take part in the Duel. Her favorite choice for this was her ace monster, the self-styled "Ritemaster Yuri."

...And with that info-dump out of the way, on to the pic. In this image, the chosen Action Field is an ancient Roman-style arena, and her Disk responded to its activation by giving her the garb of a gladiator-like pit fighter. ...Yeah, that's it. XP
