I'm pretty sure there is a nest somewhere on the left path I usually walk and they swoop across the road. Though they're not as cranky as the robins in my area

That definitely explains things. They are always angry when you’re near the nesting area. nods
I’m surprised you have angry Robins, they seem pretty chill here. Mostly I have to worry about the Crow/Squirrel wars by my apartment—screaming Squirrels and Crows early in the morning is way too much! XD

These birds always seem so angry…….at EVERYTHING. They even attack if you walk near their nesting area, where I live—there’s been lots of Redwing attacks near the nesting areas by the two rivers. There’s a big nesting area by my OBGYN’s office and I get screamed at by these birds when I walk from the bus stop there. :<
