XD I spent the last two days thinking way too hard about what type of animals would be pokemon for where I live, including Starters, evil team, and Legendaries. I definitally thought about it way too hard because I came up with some REALLY good prompts for myself. Even if they aren't for Fakemon, but just general character ideas, I think they're cool. 

STARTERS
🍀 Bat
Trying to stick with the grass starter theme of "extinct", where I live, there were bat species on the verge of extinction when I was younger. They DID actually make a come-back, though. I chose the bat as well because the actual extinct creature is a pigeon and we don't need a pigeon starter.

🔥 Squirrel
Specifically a Fox Squirrel. It's a rodent to keep with being a zodiac creature, and also as an animal has a Fiery colored tail. So it would be perfect to be a fire starter. 

💧 Salamander
There are two or three Salamanders I would like to base this off of that exist here. I think Salamander would be best because most aquatic life here are fish and its hard to travel with a fish. The other is frogs, but I think It'd be better to have the local frog be a regular pokemon you can find and catch.

💀 Bad Guy Team
I think the three "Bad guy" pokemon will be these. It seems like the theme of pokemon I picked are mostly Farm Pests it looks. XD 

A Hellgrammite/dobsonflies is a scary looking bug. But also I used to play with them because they're easy to deal with. I think the flying form is actually cute. Grunts can have these. (Bug/Water)

Perhaps also the Cow Killer Wasp. They nest in Bumblebee homes. Which also means that I would have some type of Bumblebee pokemon as a counterpart of this one. They are also called Velvet ants even though they aren't ants. They have a crazy Sting. (Bug/poison)

Definitelly a Fisher Cat. These are in the Mustelidae family, not cats. They are animals that a lot of times Terrorize Farmer's Chickens and rabbits Eating them all up around here. I've seen a few before, even. They're pretty large. I think the stronger team members would have these. (dark)

Legendaries
👻 /💧 A Boar that lives in the swamps. This one representing a legend that was fake but turned out real. The boar is known for it's wailing sounds that echo in the swamp-scape. You can't tell where it is coming from. People who think they catch a glimps of it say it quickly melds away into the water like a foggy illusion. 

👻 / ⛰️ A Mountain Lion that lives in the forest of the mountains. This one representing a legend no one believes in. This feline is large, with a Boney Ball on its tail. It creates haunting noises by drumming and scraping its tail on the rocky mountain cliffs.
