I also think Boltund's design is a bit too off for a Yamper evolution. Usually dogs evolve into similar dogs, but Yamper goes from a cute round balloon corgi to a weird General Dog who's skin fur suddenly tightened up. He also lost his balloon collar. If they weren't official, you could think they were two separate electric types since Boltund doesn't keep anything from Yamper aside from eye Rings and electric shaped tail.

It almost makes you think there's a missing "middle evolution"--like Lillipup/Herdier/Stoutland. I wonder if the designers at GameFreak originally HAD a middle evolution planned for Yamper/Bolthund, but it somehow got thrown out? hmmmm
Bolthund does kinda look like they stretched the skin a bit too TIGHT over the frame. XD

I do wish it didn't evolve into what it did--the design work on Bolthund could've been far better than to give us a box head on a box body with box legs. :/
