Left Hand Series: Snow Day in the Kingdom

Uluri

Watch the Speedpaint Video Here

The snow falls on chilly days, and the lake freezes over. Princess Pearl goes out to skate about on the ice!
Not a single care in the world does she have. She laughs and giggles as she slips across from one end
of the frozen water to the other. He cheeks rosy from the chilly air. Smiles even when she falls.

Artist Notes: I had fun with this one. It was a real challenge to do this in the left hand series,
but I do believe I learned a Lot from doing it, too. I hope to keep doing more from the Left Hand Series.
I will probably be doing much more Kingdom related works like this.

You're welcome :3 Have you found that it's getting more comfortable using your left hand for working on pieces? I had an incident myself during my fall semester as a senior (university). My entire right arm somehow became plagued my a highly painful staph infection (if I blew air onto my skin, it caused screaming pain). And of COURSE I'm right handed, and OF COURSE my major was traditional fine art. So, I ended up wrapping that arm up in 2 ace bandages, and I ended up painting with my left hand for a couple weeks, and my right arm did heal towards the end of the process. This was the resulting painting! It's pretty sizable, 2 or 3ft in any of the sides... I can't remember the dimensions off hand, but the larger size was a BIG help surprisingly.

I haven't done many things with my left yet, but I can already feel a little more control in what I do already. It's really hard to draw figures, but backgrounds have gotten easier. It's like learning to draw all over again. It's really both a frustrating and wonderful experience. Oh, I really like the splatter background on that. It reminds me of the Jaw Breakers my dad once got me. They were half the size of my head. We had to use a Sledge Hammer so we could break it up and share.

Apologies for the pokey response D: Over the ones you've done, I can definitely see the increased comfort level in using your left hand, like it's getting more second nature to you :3 And thank you! And those are the best jaw breakers :U I never got one... BUT I WANT ONE
