This comic was never intended to be as long as it is now. I meant to keep it down to three pages, but that turned out to be impossible. I would say that around 1991 I became really interested in old sea ships, and drew them all the time. I have no idea what sort of ship this one is, I actually did not look at a reference picture. A standard, by the way, is a ship's flag, in case you don't know. Also, before I edited the ever living hell out of the story, it was going to contain some characters that resembled the three main characters from Lupin III, and that cop dude (whose name I don't remember, but it starts with a z, and the joke was going to be that Captain Pie hired them solely because they resembled the characters from the comic book. It's still several hundred years before TV after all. All that's left of that idea, however, is the name of the ship.
