Wanted to draw some pheasants because damn, such pretty birds, but I also didn’t want to leave their heads floating in mid air so I gave them some portrait frames! And some, uh, hunting tweeds. Shh.

    One has to be a member of long standing (perching?) at the pheasant country club before you're admitted to the gallery.

    The mutedness of the tweeds, walls and frames sets off their rich plumage wonderfully.

      Many many generations have fought for that place on the perch. Such distinction.

      And thank you very much!!! Muted rural colour palettes are some of my favourites so it was nice picking colours to (hopefully) go with the different species.
