Still trying to catch up, this is my 5th picture for Inktober. Smaller than the others but since I have 2 more to do to catch up so I am trying to do a few smaller more simple pictures. This was inspired by the work of another artist. "Fire Cat" done on 6 x 9 grey toned paper but cropped down to about 4 1/2 x 5, red and black Micron pens with just a tiny bit of ProWhite. Original and prints available.

LOL actually while I was drawing this I thought it was very tattoo like. :)

Beat me to the same comment there. I was more likely to say "shirt" but essentially the same comment either way.

A shirt design would be equally suitable, especially printed on the same neutral tones as the paper he used.

Did you have any particular species of cat in mind while colouring this? The face and ears feel very reminiscent of a serval, perhaps even caracal.

Nope, though with the larger ears I can see your point. But I was thinking more house cat I guess.

I know this is somewhat of a predictable response but this would make a great tattoo. Red and black are such a winning color combination.
