Halaphaz during his time when he was kept as a prisoner of the Navy for X amount of years. While he was kept in his cell Halaphaz was generally tormented by the guards who kept poking and prodding at him, as a means to keep himself somewhat entertained (As well as the guys who kept bugging him) He would contort his body and just sit like this for hours on end.

Halaphaz's large mane was shaved and he became extremely skinny and Emaciated because of a lack of care, after all the Navy didn't know exactly what he ate and whatever he did eat made him keep losing weight. Which is why he is still extremely skinny even while he is on Abram's crew and is relatively well fed. If he ever got back up to his full weight he'd likely be up in the 270-290lb range
