Thank you. I did try hard to get that 'picture' across, without getting caught up in the history -too- much at this point, so I hope the balance was just right~ :)
oh believe me, it was balanced, and I think that the background of the war really helped reinforce the story!
I really comprehended why maxim and other characters hated each other after reading this (I started from the chapter where Alexei found Nathan just after he'd escaped, just before Alexei's shop was broken into, and read back from chapter one to understand the story fully.)
