"Emotions are changeable. They never stay in one place too long and rarely look the same. Some things bother us, others make us shine, and through all of this we remain. For we are not our emotions, but they are a part of us, and can show quite a lot of character but they are not our definition. They do not embody who we are, for there is something deeper, something greater, stronger than our feelings, that undefinable thing that makes us who we are, no matter what we go through."
First assignment for my Illustration class this semester. The prompt was to create a composition that displayed a contrast. I chose to try and show depression and joy, and steadily it evolved into what you see before you. Kinda different from what I normally do but I'm fairly satisfied with the result nonetheless. Will possibly rework this sometime later to see if I can get it even closer to my original idea. Until then, enjoy.

I really love that watercolour texture you created there.
Pictures like this detailing on emotion or facets of emotion are often interesting, and can be a good outlet for things.
