" The story of the sea dragon is also the story of an unfabled artist who in their frustration had left for the shoreside. There the artist played their instrument for hours, unable to maintain their inspiration, losing it just as they were about to immerse themselves into the music. Frustrated, they threw their instrument to the sand and just before walking away they picked it back up and sat down, closed their eyes and began to play once more. The waves slid up the beach in tempo with the music as the artist focused. For several minutes they played, not noticing as the sea dragon lured to this beach by the music which resonated with the waves. It rose from the water to stand before the artist and stoically it stared them down as they played, ever so slightly the dragons head began to sway with the tune, the waves gaining more and more force as the tempo of the melody increased. As if possessed the artist continued to play even as their fingers began to bleed, the waves were now violently crashing into the beach, soaking the artists shoes and trousers. The waves almost deafening now, but the melody from the artists instrument overpowering their noise as the melody reached its climax. The water became still as the tune became more somber now, a flash of something swept through the face of the dragon, nostalgia perhaps, as tiny little tears formed in its eyes that turned into pearls as they slid off its cheeks and into the sand. As the artist stopped playing they finally noticed the dragon standing before them, the sea and air now unnaturally calm as the dragon lowered its head in a gracious bow before it turned away and vanished back into the ocean, only leaving behind the small pearls in the sand.
