Bernie is a wallaby. He's transsexual, and is working on saving the money for top surgery...and is still pretty ashamed of the fact that he looks like a girl, even though he isn't one.

His boyfriend, Rex, is very supportive, and loves him no matter his body type. The support is wonderful, but it doesn't completely shut off that little voice in the back of his head when he looks in the mirror.
