I always enjoy these type of sequences.

Peg Leg Pete is possibly the oldest cartoon character that still gets regular animation gigs. He was originally a bear, and started out life as 'Bootleg Pete' in Oswald shorts. And anytime someone honors him, I get a stupid grin. And yes, that shoe miniaturization takes the cake.
