The OBK-1M1 Combat Machete is a long-running combat-survival tool dating back to the start of Tolesian space travel and manufacturing. It has served from the political halls of Toles, protecting the highest-ranking members of the Tolesian political establishment to the jungles of Grathe and the vacuum of Rael. Its timeless material construction has withstood the test of time. 

The construction of this blade starts with its high-nitrogen steel, creating a highly durable, long-lasting, and corrosion-resistant blade and spine. This steel is delivered in a powder to the factory, where it is combined with carbon nanotubes when it is laser printed. Once the machete's basic shape is made, it is moved onto the next part of the line, where it meets its vacuum-forged tungsten carbide edge, which, thanks to a lack of an oxidizing layer, is vacuum welded. The now single-piece machete is assembled with an ergonomic handle with a knuckle duster to complete manufacturing. It takes roughly 15 minutes to complete a single blade from powdered metal to a serial unit.

There has been little desire to change the design or replace the OBK-1M1 with another model. For the Tolesian Commonwealth, sometimes you get it right the first time.
