Chapter 2: Sakura's First Mission

After a while of training, Sakura got hired by the ACIPD.

"Very well, Sakura. Are you ready for your first assignment?" the chief said.

"Yes." Sakura said.

"We want you to go down to the surface of Velbus and try to find one of the old laboratories down there. And if you find anything of value bring it back here."

Sakura left the police department and proceeded to take off. After deploying her four main wings and activating the engines in her lower legs and back, she was airborne. Then she did a downward manuever and began soaring down towards Velbus.

Pretty soon, Sakura had located an old laboratory. It was a giant rustic complex composed of a few gray buildings with light blue details. There was a button next to the door of the laboratory. Sakura pushed it and entered the laboratory.

Most of the equipment was still operational, but upon scanning around, Sakura saw a stasis cell. Inside the stasis cell, she saw another Jetroid, a male one that was white as snow. "Hm, he looks interesting. If I bring him back, we'll have another recruit." She pressed the button to release him.

Upon being awakened, the white Jetroid was a little stunned.

"Are you ok? What's your name?"
"A-Aero..." the white jetroid managed.

"So your name is Aero. That's an interesting name."
"It sure is. I'm just not sure what's up with my memory."
"You're probably just a little stunned from being waken up. Come on, let's go."

They were just leaving when a thug suddenly appeared. He was a Jetroid, though he was black and red. He had a red strap across his chest, a red sash around his mouth, and a V on his forehead.

"Who are you?" Sakura said.
"I am one of Vaxtus' henchmen sent to check on Aero to make sure no one freed him. But since you freed him, I'll just have to terminate you."
"Who's Vaxtus?" Sakura asked.
"Vaxtus, that name sounds familiar. I just don't know why." Aero said.
"Do you know something, Aero?" Sakura asked Aero.
"I'm not letting either of you leave." the thug said.
"We'll take you on." Aero said.
"Be careful" Sakura cautioned.

After a brisk fight in the forest, Aero defeated the thug.

"Wow, Aero, you defeated that guy by yourself? You should come to Atmo City and help out at the investigation department."
"Uh, ok." Aero said.

So Sakura and Aero flew back to Atmo City.

Aero(thinking): Something's wrong with my memory. Why can't I put my finger on it?
