Chapter 1: Present Day

Atmo City is the home city of the Jetroids. It is a giant floating metropolis composed of a giant vertical spire with several disks extending from that spire. There are also skyscraper like protrusions emmitting from those disks. Atmo City resembles a giant spaceship more than a city, but you can walk around on the top of the disks without falling off.

Anyways, it is a standard day at the Atmo City Investigation and Police Department where 2 officers are on break. The officers are white in color with black helmets and wingtips and yellow badges on their chests and helmets. A communicator covers their mouth area, and they have 2 lights, one red and one blue on their helmets. Similary, their wingtips also have 2 corresponding lights.

Well, 2 of these officers are on break when another officer came into the room.

"Guess what?"
"What?" the other 2 said.
"I heard that a female prototype Jetroid may apply for a job here. She is a fairly new experimental Jetroid model that has improved flight and weapons systems, and I hear that she has 4 retractable main wings instead of 2."
"Wow, interesting. What's her name?"
"She goes by the name Sakura."

Just then, the door to the main office opened and a pink and purple female Jetroid walked in. She was pink and wore a purple outfit with a gold necklace. Her leg engines had four tail fins instead of the standard two. She also had 2 pigtails on the sides of her head along with a fancy visor.

"Wow, she's cool" one of the officers said.
"Sh, not so loud."

The officers watched as Sakura walked to the receptionist desk and ring the bell. A receptionist came a few moments later to address her.

"Hi, my name is Sakura" she introduced herself "I would like to work for Atmo City Investigation."

"Sure." the receptionist replied. "Go to the training facility to see if you qualify for the job."

Sakura went to the training facility and asked the workers there what she wanted to apply for.

"First," the workers "let's test your combat skills. Start by shooting these targets." Several bullseyes appeared in a shooting pitch to the side. Sakura whipped out her machine gun and shot at them with good accuracy.

"Very well" the workers said. "Now try again with another set." Another set of targets appeared. Sakura stumbled this time.

"Keep practicing here, and we'll hire you."

"Ok." Sakura said.
