I've started to get a bit social, but I'm being picky about it. It's mainly in the discord server for ReIllustrated, so it's a lot less overwhelming compared to public servers. The other server I'm in (a general art one) can be a bit overwhelming with how fast it can go since there's a ton of people.

It's okay to be cautious, especially around a bunch of strangers as you ease into the "social masses". :)
I love attending conventions (but I haven't been to one since 2018), but usually I'd attend for an entire weekend and wouldn't warm up to social interaction until the end of the second day or on the last day, by then I'd miss most of the interactions at a convention. XD

I get that. I have a lot of fandoms I love—my biggest one is Transformers—but other than randomly drawing characters or writing fan-fiction, I’m distant from the fandom itself and the people in it (not socially involved beyond posting works on sites like this).
