Inktober #8: Reckless Leap by Sparkyopteryx

Inktober #8: Reckless Leap

Sparkyopteryx

Playing some catch-up. This Inktober illustrates my character Yauhara, doing what she does best and ambushing on full offensive. She's a particularly large and powerful specimen for a canyon Thu'marath and isn't afraid to use that to her advantage. Her name is translated from their phrasebook as: Yau – A spoken shout referencing that which flays or whips harshly, often in reference to signs of a sudden powerful sandstorm, and -Hara – Suffix, meaning “That which whirls” sometimes describes something in nature or may reference one of their hieroglyphs.

Done at the casino hotel room during our mini-vacation this past weekend while watching old 40s vintage monster movies, it was great. Character is mine, her race the Thu'marath was created by the spouse, setting she resides in is my worldbuilding setting Alteir.

Yes! Thu'marath have the coolest feet, and Yauhara here is extra mean and likes to strap fitted metal blades to her inner and outer toes.

That they do... though that just sounds more intense and BA than mean

I agree! Since she grew up as a gladiatorial prize fighter she figures any edge that might give her the upper hand is more than fair in war.

That's something I can agree with too
