A species reference and full character example for an RPG I'm developing, set in my science fiction universe.

The dontari are an intelligent race with unmatched natural ingenuity. Having evolved from something akin to glow worms, resourcefulness was essential for evolution, and creativity helped them thrive in technological advances. Their skin still glows, but it dries out easily, and so they typically require moisture suits or wet environments to survive. Despite this, their light-sensitive eyes, and a small, fragile build, most space-faring races respect the dontari for their ingeniousness and the good it has done for galactic society.
