Tigon Shade Wishing You a Good One by Shadane

Tigon Shade Wishing You a Good One

Shadane

I've been gone for a while to work on my series, but I figured I should stop by to share a picture I made of my fursona's alternate form, suggested by my boyfriend and designed by me. Obviously kaiju Shade isn't going anywhere, I just wanted to have fun with some of the forms I can draw myself in.
I know Autism Acceptance Month is about to be over in an hour and a half where I'm at, but I wanted to atone for my terrible old picture since I, like a lot of people, were cheated and lied to by Autism Speaks into thinking Autism Awareness Day/Month was real. If you don't know who Autism Speaks are, they're basically PETA for Autistic people; that is, an organization of hateful bigots and grifters that claims to be a charity to help people with Autism, but they actually put their donation funds towards abusive "training" that essentially treats people with autism, namely children and non-vocal adults as less than even animals, physically and mentally mistreats them, they treat what they call high-functioning autists™ as delusional freaks with no grip on reality, overall they see anyone with autism as unintelligent, emotionless sociopaths despite evidence to the contrary (for one thing, autistics have a higher average IQ), and they put their donations towards research for a "cure". Now, even someone with a non-functioning brain would know that autism can't be cured because it's not a disease, and getting rid of it requires rewiring the brain which can actually be deadly.
I could go into more detail about how evil they are, but that's for another story. Just know that ever since I was diagnosed they wanted to "cure" me, and I just want to say that even if any of the myths they put out about autism were true such as it being a disease or a mental illness, both of which are untrue and also offensive, I'm happy the way I am and I have no intention on changing that to meet anyone's standards of what they consider to be normal, and "dehumanization", if that term even applies to me feels like a compliment to me personally because I never fit into human society nor want to, I'd rather just be me and reside in my own society.
Either way, I'm wishing everyone seeing this a Happy Autism Acceptance Month, be you autistic, neurodivergent in other ways, or a neurotypical ally for the autism community or have a family member with autism who you love and support.
Characters in this picture are Shade (in maned tigoness form), an unnamed autism creature, and the autism monster created by an artist who draws disabilities and actual mental illnesses as monsters that behave based on how said disabilities and illnesses work.
