The name, Gailwen, means 'Bright Light Maiden'.

This pendant is made of fine silver, genuine amethysts and swarovski crystal. There are two genuine amethysts hanging on either side of a teardrop clear aurora borealis swarovski crystal. The central aura unit of chainmaille is made from fine silver.

The pendant measures 3/4 of an inch wide.

Fine silver is 99.9% silver, unlike sterling, which is only 92.5% silver. Fine silver is far more tarnish resistant. This fine silver is full hard temper, which is the equivalent of half hard temper for sterling silver, which is what most sterling silver chainmaille tends to be. As with ANY silver, it is a softer metal than aluminum or stainless, so of course, you must be more caring with it, as you would with any fine jewellery.
