And Now I've Lost You Forever

Scully

How I imagine Maleficent's devastated heartbreak appeared behind closed doors after she feels that the curse on Aurora was unable to be stopped. Her demons are represented by the spinning wheels that she created herself to result in Aurora's "death-like sleep". I think it's important to see even the deep, dark depths of emotions of characters that the audience doesn't usually get to see. Seeing all aspects of a character's feelings allows the character to become whole, in my opinion. We saw glimpses of how Maleficent felt towards Aurora on-screen, but I wanted to show how she coped with her grief off-stage.
