"Gotta...keep...moving!" Sandy wheezed, trying valiantly to maintain her locomotion. As she continued on, however, she realized that her defiant statement had gone unheeded by her body. Her feet were aching, her sides were cramping, and no matter how hard she attempted to catch her breath, it continued to elude her. She had to stop and rest. Sandy slowed her jogging down to a sluggish walk and then eventually halted all forward momentum.

She stood upright and placed her hands on her hips, not in the least bit aware that her hands were being swallowed whole by the sides of her belly. Her breathing was heavy but at the same time, it was also methodical. Sweat beaded down her face and throat, gliding effortlessly across her shoulders. Her bosom heaved proudly as she inhaled every breath, forcing her sports bra to undergo additional torture. Her tank top was only mildly damp and had yet to be drenched in perspiration. The same could also be said for her overstretched sweatpants.

She was on the side of the road, looking towards a stop sign into the not so far off distance. That was her marker. She was to jog there and then jog back to her home; a mere 700 feet total. Her goal was to travel back and forth four times, making four complete circuits. So far, she had only finished one circuit. Sandy tried not to let her fatigue daunt her. She was going to obtain her goal. Sandy knew, however, that such exercise wouldn't help her lose weight. But she determined that if it didn't help her lose weight, it would help her to maintain it. She was willing to accept being morbidly obese but she refused to accept being monstrously fat. And so, after spending a few moments to regain her composure, she began jogging again. If not to be thin, then to prevent herself from getting any bigger.
