Some instrumental '80s synth music for everyone. If you wish to download, I would prefer you download from Bandcamp, though I will not mandate it.

This sounds like it came straight out of an old Metroid game...

You think so? Coincidentally, the beginning and end includes a certain '80s sound used by Michael Jackson... XD Thanks for listening!

Well I played the Metroid games, but didn't listen to Michael Jackson, sooooo, yeah. XP

        • Link

Oh. XD Well, the similarity between them is that they're not modern.... XDDD

          • Link

Again, nice work! And modern is overrated. ;) Btw, how did you set this to be a "featured" image? I can't find out to do that on mine anywhere. O_o

Thank you for the comment! Unfortunately, according to the forums, there is no way to change your featured submission. Why it's not my most recent one is beyond me. :P

That is really weird! I know they are working on making it possible to choose a featured image, but I didn't think they had done it yet. O_o

I can even imagine this song to be coming straight from the old C64-games, hehehe... of course, THIS here is not 8-BIT, but highly clean and powerful! ^___^

The style is pretty great, a very strong bass line and percussion. The use of the synth sounds is pretty good and the overall mixture does fit excellently!

The break at 3:20 is neccessary to calm down the style and to give the listener a break... but I would suggest a "build up" here, so that some tension would arise and the next part would begin differently.

Also, I'm a great friend of "transpose" modus... the part at 4:06 could've been transposed by one or two notes, to give it a "new" appearance. That's just MY opinion!

    ^_^

    GREAT SOUND, COOL SONG!

Yeah, this isn't 8-bit. XD Though, it does use sounds from the same time period: the beginning includes the sound from Michael Jackson's 1983 hit, "Beat It", for instance.

Thank you for the suggestions for next time. I myself think maybe I should make more transpositions in my future pieces to avoid repetition. Thanks for listening!

Yesss, the "Beat It" sound... isn't it a "Flanger" or... well, some cool synth sound, anyway! ^^"

Yepp, now you mention it... indeeeeeed! :3

I used a Flanger effect for a stereo sound, if that's what you're asking. The source was a VERY expensive FM/sampling hybrid synthesizer called the Synclavier, which even I can't afford right now beyond some samples of it.

          :D

Kickass percussion ! I love such kind of sounds :)
    Rest is pretty naiss too.
