Calliope is great because she's cute and genuinely helpful. Also, I love the idea of her writing fanfiction and drawing fanart of the kids THAT IS JUST SO CUTE.
But Caliborn is such a stupid little jackass that I can't dislike him. I mean, obviously, he's said and done some shit that is just not okay, but he's actually really likable for a character we're all supposed to dislike. Hell, all of the villains in Homestuck are like that, and it's one of the reasons why I love it so much. Hussie's really great with handling realistic characters--not exactly in how they look or anything, but in how they interact and develop.
