Well at long last here it is. Kelly's final design, with my upgraded shading and a few very distinct modifications! I was very concerned about this throughout January and February when I made the choice. Do not say I didn't warn people either! I made a whole journal I was so torn between doing it or not.
Yep. The Kanyans have gone fullblown realistic in style. The most immedeately striking thing should be the eyes. In the past I have never got these to look right once, and, trying them one night as an experiment I simply loved how it looked on this. It was tough call, but since I was redesigning anyway I rolled with it. Form here on out, The Kanyans are gonna look like this, and beleive it or not, I think I can actually keep them pretty distinct regardless!
There's not much to say about everything else though that I didn't say last time. My god, has my shading come a long way and this definitely got far more effort and time put into it then human her. just seems to be how things role for me, I guess because the story will have her like this more of the time. No expense spared here, and that's the way it should be for a main character.
So whaddya reckon, normalies and furries? I've often been asked "how do you make a werewolf cute?" I liked to think this is a good example. But I also acknowledge it's polarising, to say the least. Was going the realistic (and as a result, still remaining borderline anime) route a wise decision? Or would you have preferred I keep the more humanish qualities from the old designs?
