Philippine Eagle Mask
Philippine Eagles are a long favorite of mine. When I first saw this blank from Freakhound Studios I knew I had to make this species of eagle with it! Months of work later, here it is. The base has been gently modified/resculpted to better fit this raptor, and then finished with high quality paints, epoxy, faux fur, and feathers. The eyes are acrylic half spheres and are hand painted.
The jaw is fully articulated/hinged and operates very responsively with the wearer’s own jaw movements. There is a silicone tongue inside, made by Dreamvision Creations.

Aaah I saw the WIP, this turned out so excellent. The base itself is great, but the paint job and fur-ing used just make it look incredible. One of the most natural looking bird masks I've seen!

The Philippine Eagle Foundation is also a great resource and they're really in need of funds, so if anybody has a few extra dollars to throw their way, I highly suggest it.

That is absolutely amazing. I legitimately thought it was a real bird from the thumbnail!
