Ara learns about Chy a lot sooner than William had hoped. After being initially angry about Chy's presence, Ara quickly accepts Chy. Later William trains Rora further in sword fighting techniques, including balance and how to fall safely. The next day, Ara is visited by Joola, her adoptive mother, and Joola's family. Like Ara, Joola accepts Chy's presence and even takes the opportunity to poke a little fun at William.
