William and Rora go hunting again. After successfully obtaining meat, William discovers an orphaned Kootona cub. Despite his concerns about having such an animal anywhere near the village, his soft heart decides for him. He adopts the little cub whom he names Chy. When Rora sees Chy, he goes ballistic and berates William until William explains the advantages of having a Kootona as a house guest.
