For Gabriel by Manna

I saw a forest man as I was walking today

He was thin, spindly, sitting with his head downward against a fallen log

It was morning and the light was green. The trunks of trees were black and yellow light-bugs floated in the air

One floated in front of him and he lifted his arm, elbow out and wrist towards him to make acute angles as he gently touched towards

It faded and I could tell her was very sad

For Gabriel

Manna

When he visited I told them I'd write something about / for them because I wanted to and then I had this idea but I was too embarrassed to show it to them / everyone for a while
