By the fright of the silvery moon.

I think that was one of the first EC stories I ever read, nice to meet another EC fan, they're hard to come by, especially on furry sites.

The history of comics itself is tied to EC, with their being crippled by censorship and public vilification. It's easy to see the same stigma applied in furry when in non-furry circles.
A fan of the supernatural (Magic, transformation, werewolves, vampires, horror, etc) in modern media should look at the masters for where we are today.

I think so too, at least in regards to EC being important if you consider yourself a comics fan (as well as Archie comics which people often turn their noses up at,) but it just seems most people on these sites are younger and more into modern media. Or if they're into older stuff, it tends to be older cartoons, which are awesome too, but I wish general comics and art and film got more respect.

I think those that care about things will be a beacon to the younger ones about the past. Those that truly love the craft will find these connections thanks to us. Always be open to the folks needing direction to the worlds we already traveled and love.

case in point: was a Tales from the Crypt fan as a kid but had no idea about the history behind this. Now I'm looking it up over coffee. Thank you.
