[2015..?]

Here is the Past Version of Melissa, which is the appearance she had when she first met Sonic and Co. in the Lunar Wind Continuity! Believe it or not, this design and Melissa herself first appeared to me in a Dream I had back in 2007 that played out a LOT like how her meeting Sonic actually went (Well, with necessary changes, as most dreams are kind of off or eventually trail away from the subject at hand)!

As for why I'd eventually changed it? I was worried her design (despite having come from my subconscience) was edging towards Amonic the Hedgehog's, and I went out of my way to have it changed.

Current Design

Now that I think about it though, they're both completely different, so really I had nothing to worry about. There are lots of Navy Blue Hedgehogs with upturned/curled quills in the fandom and Mel's are incredibly specific-- so this look is still canon for her in some capacity!

Since there's really no need to input an additional character summary, I'll instead be listing some misc. facts about her (trivia or whatnot), which are as follows:
• Melissa is highkey into fashion, and is especially drawn towards the color pink.
• Mel also rides and maintains a white scooter[?], all by herself-- which is the only keepsake she has of her late father.
• Melissa has formerly tried for Sonic's affections, but she has mysteriously stopped, and will deflect anything that questions her about this.
• Speaking of, she used to be a heavy romantic! But that too, seems to be locked away...
• Melissa and Ally used to clash a lot, something that Ally especially feels awful about!
• She currently lives by herself someplace on Mobius, and hasn't really kept in touch... where is she, anyway?

I forgot to mention in the last piece, but Melissa is not a Lunarien. Heck, she's not even Mobian (wasn't born on Mobius)! The most we know is that she's a "hedgehog", really..
