Step-by-Step Werewolf: Colors 1-2 by LudoCrow

Step-by-Step Werewolf: Colors 1-2

LudoCrow

Continuation of the former

Step 2: First pass with the marker, I generally try to take my darker and more saturated color and have a first pass, giving priority to areas which will be "darker" are and leaving areas meant to be "lighter" white.

The reason to do so can be seen in the pink of her lavender nightdress, as in the next step I use a lighter color to fill the white.

Step 3: As said in step 2, this is when I fill the space left white in the former step with other colors, generally of a lighter and less saturated shade, meant to contrast with the darker and more saturated color. It is ideal to do so when the previous layer from step 2 is still wet, to get some blending between the colors. Sometimes, instead of using markers, I will use prismacolor pencils as I did in her hairs, where I use a pale, golden-like, shade of orange to fill the whites.
