Sidney and I picked this companion up though the course of the adventure.

I returned to the barn a good while later suspecting she'd mummified, and she had. There were no sign of her babies. I think something ate them or they deteriorated beyond observation:

Possibly her eye sockets could be made tiny to imply the beady black eyes of opossums.

It still amazes me how people in the northern hemisphere can say "possum" and think of scary toothy little monsters, where here in Australia they're like adorable fluffy grey squirrel-cats.
Something about this possum's face is still kind of adorable though.
