Hey yall!! I made a post about all the cool free software I used to make Lūdō, cause I figured it might help someone else out. The full post, including links to their sites (to download em) and explanations for how I used them all, can be viewed at the above link!

Krita here :) They added animation support with 3.0 too. Maybe you want to look into it one day.

Hey! Another Krita user! How did you get 3.0 to work out? I had to go back to 2.9 because I had problems with the brush tool lagging, as well as a really bad time with the text tool (not good, since much of what I do is comics!) but I'm not sure if that might have just been bad luck, haha! I would have liked to try out its animation capabilities. Is it good?

The text tool is fk'ed up and the devs know that I needs some more love :) Animation support is already quite decent, but I haven't tried it that much yet (onion skin, key frames, timeline) Animation + vectors is planed as well. What OS are you running this stuff? Try to disable brush assist first, it fixed at least the brush lag for me.

I tried to disable brush assist, but it didn't help with the lag. I'm using Windows 10 at the moment.

Even if I got the lag fixed, I'd still have to stick with 2.9 until I know 3.0's text tool works with at least the same functionality. :') I use text tool a lot.

ooo I've heard about Krita! The animation support sounds interesting, but I tend to stick to vector-based tools because they're easier for me to use with a mouse. I don't have a tablet +m+ Maybe someday!

Krita has Vector support too. :) Well it's open source and free. Wouldn't hurt to try it. :D
