Lauren led Liane into the bustling mall, with Christmas just around the corner. "I just need to pick up a few things," Lauren said.

The blonde bunny just nodded and followed behind. Liane picked up a few toys for Heather and a sweater for Allie, while Lauren had picked up a few stuffed animals as general gifts.

The central area of the mall was filled with Santa's Village, set up with all the flourishes one would expect. Elves, candy canes, fake presents, the whole deal. Lauren smiled at the heartwarming sight, entranced by the holiday spirit. She whinnied happily at the memory of christmas joy, opening presents and spending the day with loved ones.

She turned to ask Liane if she was looking forward to Christmas when she noticed the rabbit was gone. "Liane?" She called out her name again.

Suddenly, she heard a disturbance as a young mother screamed.

Lauren looked around and spotted Liane having taken a bite out of Santa's hat. "Who're you calling a ho?"

"Now I don't even--," Santa shook his head.

"I heard you, you said it three times! I oughta kick you in the jingle bells!" Liane fumed, ready for another attack.

Lauren sighed and grabbed her around the waist. "We're going home now. I can't take you anywhere."

"No, but did you hear what he called me?" She struggled against the zebra, flipping Santa off in her attempts to get free.

"Come on, these nice people just want to do their shopping..." She pushed the protesting rabbit slowly but surely out the door towards the car... It would be a while before they would be welcome in this mall again...
