As the title of the piece suggests, the destruction of the world around them is only the beginning of their story, as well as the start of a new era. The story is about forging forward in the face of hardship, hopelessness, and self-doubt. It also touches upon themes of acceptance and moving on from the past.

Still working on fleshing out the characters and plot events, but I like where it's going so far. This story was meant to be the first Ghesera story that I publish, but I might actually go straight to Kamesha's story first, since that one is just about finished. I also got some good feedback on it. I shared a very brief synopsis of it with a couple of my classmates and my professor and they were very intrigued. I feel good about my writing and myself, for once I feel that I'm on the right track.

This painting is a tad hasty but I still like parts of it. I hope you do as well. :)
