This is a mix of colored pencils and markers. I pretty much used markers for all the hard-plate armour...and colored pencil for the body-/organic-portions.
From my MMX fan-fiction series...X in the Zero Armour (original design) with Axl and Dynamo in the background. I am not good at drawing Axl......................................
X, Dynamo and Axl all belong to Capcom/Rockman X/Mega Man X game series.
Thanks so much! I really want to try and mix these two mediums together a lot more...it limits me to the types of paper I can use, but Bristol is pretty handy for both mediums. This is Vellum Bristol (I usually use Smooth Bristol for my marker work), it eats the markers a little more...but makes the colored pencil look better. :)
Oh okay, yeah the paper can really determine how the medium will turn out sometimes. Good choice! c:
Surprisingly...my "off-brand" markers (non-Copic and non-Prismacolor) work tons better on Bristol Vellum. The Michael's brand, Artist's Loft, is AMAZING and smooth on this paper...but I have a very limited color range in that set of markers, so I used them for the big things like background (the purple in this is one of those markers)! :)
Hey this is great! I can never do armour well, it would be awesome to see more of this if you feel like it too! I wonder if there is a megaman pony...yeah there probably is.

The way you used colored pencils and markers totally really fits well together!
