To be truthful...I've never worked with watercolor paints before. I've only ever used those "paint with water" coloring books they used to have back in the days as I was growing up. This was definintely a learning experience!
It's not perfect...but Blossom is still cute!

Awwwww...thanks so much!! hugs
Yeah...I noticed on areas where the paint was thicker or pooled, it was "crusty" and broke off of the paper when I went to scan it. It's a very different kind of paint than acrylics, but similar in some ways. :)
I used mostly oil paints in school...we didn't use too many other kinds of paints, only acrylics once in high school!
Watercolor is one of my favorite media to work with tbh <3
You did an amazing job with this piece, I love the values in the grass!
I really like how the grass turned out, too...I used a big brush for the light green, then smaller ones for the other greens.
And thanks!!! Hopefully I can get better...my first two are pretty rough. I tried painting an inked piece and that was a mess...even though the ink was supposedly waterproof! lol

You did an excellent job on this! Watercolors are hard to learn, since they are difficult to correct mistakes with.
